I remember sitting in the doctors surgery back in 2012 when he told me he thought I was borderline diabetic.. “Surely that only happens to fat people?” The doctor was too polite to tell me that I was that fat person.
Back then I weighed in at 109 kilo which in old money is 17 stone 1.
He suggested they do a blood test….
2 weeks later, I took a call from him It was official. I had type 2 diabetes.
The moment that the phone went down, everything changed.
It had to.
No longer was I drinking the 5-6 cups of coffee with 2 sugars in.
Those 3 cans of red bull a day, along with those late night KFC’s banquet box meals with that lovely chicken gravy?
Those days had finished as well. It had to.
Something had to change. But change doesn’t happen overnight.
Well actually, change can start immediately as shown in these photographs which taken yesterday at my 6monthly check up visit with the diabetic nurse.
This shows my weight from in 2012 when I weighed in at a whopping 109 kilos! Fast forward to now, 4 years later and I weigh 96 kilos.
The other chart shows my blood sugar levels. Well above the grey was the danger zone. I nominal now.
Looking at these charts you can pinpoint the exact point change began.
Immediately after the call.
The more you work out what makes you tick, the better you get.
The more you begin to see in your world, the more opportunities to act and turn things to your positive, benign advantage come your way.
You are your best chance of success… you always have been.
You have always been your biggest life/business asset, tool, opportunity.
It’s right there on your doorstep, always has been.
But to get you working as best you can, you have to strip out all the stuff that’s really not working and deep down you know it isn’t.
What are the negatives in your life that you really have to leave behind in order to be the best you can be?
Change doesn’t happen overnight, or maybe actually it can with the right motivation as shown in my weight/sugar charts.
